Product Description
Meet Your New Workhorse EQ
If you could choose just one EQ plug-in to use on every mix session, you'll be well served by the PSP Audioware PSP McQ parametric equalizer plug-in. Inspired by classic MCI console equalizers, PSP McQ gives you everything you need to shape any track or bus — lowpass and highpass filters, two flexible mid bands with gain-following Q factors, a high-frequency band, and an output level control that feeds into the SATuration section. And thanks to the acclaimed SATuration mode, PSP McQ is also a sweet way to add tape-like harmonic saturation while preventing digital clipping. Whether you need to carve out room in a mix, or just want to add subtle musical sweetening, you'll get the results you need with the PSP Audioware PSP McQ equalizer plug-in.
Note: This plug-in requires an iLok account for activation, but does not require a physical iLok key. Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for more information.
Gain-following Q factors for ultra-musical results
The PSP McQ plug-in is optimized for highly musical results, even with heavy-handed EQ curves. A big part of this are its midrange EQ bands with gain-following Q factors — the more you boost or cut, the more narrow the Q becomes.
Add punch and bite with SATuration
If your mix is lacking punch and detail, the subtle harmonic enhancement could be the solution, and it's built into the PSP Audioware PSP McQ plug-in. The switchable SATurator section adds smooth tape-like saturation, and it also protects against digital clipping down the chain. SATurator is placed after the master output, so you can drive the output of the EQ into SATurator without risking clipping. It's perfect for adding punch to bass drums and toms, harmonic enhancement to vocals, and basically sweetening any sound you use it on — just try not to overdo it!
