What's New in Serato Sample 1.2?
Serato's latest release delivers some exciting, long-requested feature updates for producers:
- 32 Pads: We’ve doubled the number of pads from 16 to 32. This doubles your chances of striking gold using Sample's Autoset features, like 'Find Samples' or 'Random'.
- Velocity: There’s now an option to respect a host DAW's velocity, letting you play expressively with your MIDI keyboard or drum controller.

Windows
Registration
1. Visit the Serato Download Area and click the yellow Download button.
2. Enter the email address that you wish to register.
3. Enter and confirm your chosen password before choosing your country, ticking the required box and clicking 'Continue'.
Installation
1. You have now been sent an email containing a link to download your software installer > locate and open the email before selecting 'Download Serato Sample'.
Note: Check the junk/spam folder of your email if the email fails to appear.
2. Select your DAW and click 'Continue' to download the installer.
3. Once downloaded, double-click the .zip folder to locate the .exe installer > double-click the .exe file to begin the installation process.
4. Read through the information and click 'I agree to the license terms and conditions.
5. Click 'Next.
32-Bit Installation
Choose the 32-Bit VST installer if you wish to install this > click 'Next'.
64-Bit Installation
Choose the 64-Bit VST installer if you wish to install this > click 'Next'.
6. Sample is now ready for installation > click 'Install'.
7. Click 'Finish' to exit the setup window.
8. The installation of the software has successfully completed > click 'Finish'.
Activation
1. Open your DAW and locate/open the software.
Note: Rescan your plugin selection if the software fails to appear.
2. Select 'Got a Voucher Code?' located at the bottom of the plugin window.
Important Note: Be sure to click the 'Got a Voucher Code?' button and NOT the 'Start Trial' or 'Activate' buttons to authorize Sample (as shown below).
3. Enter your registered Serato email address.
4. Enter your registered Serato password.
5. Enter the Voucher Code/Serial Number from your Sounds Space User Account, into the box provided > click 'Continue' to activate the software.
Sample is now Ready for use Within your DAW!
Mac
Registration
1. Visit the Serato Download Area and select the 'Download Serato Sample' tab.
2. Enter the email address that you wish to register.
3. Enter and confirm your chosen password before choosing your country, ticking the required box and clicking 'Continue'.

AU Installation
Drag and drop the 'Serato Sample. component' file into your Mac's 'Components' folder, before closing the window.
VST Installation
Drag and drop the 'Serato Sample. vst file into your Mac's 'VST' folder, before closing the window.
Activation
1. Open your DAW and locate/open the software.
Note: Rescan your plugin selection if the software fails to appear.
2. Select 'Got a Voucher Code?' located at the bottom of the plugin window.
