Product Description
A free gateway into MNTRA's VST/AU Sound Sculpture Series instruments
Rasa hints at the vast creative possibilities that Mntra's unique Sound Sculpture Instruments have to offer.
Drawing from four of Mntra's Sound Sculpture Instruments, Rasa features four sample maps: the large Tibetan Horn (Orakle), the Morin khuur (Arca), Pitched Volcanic Rocks (Atma), and the "Viper" Death Whistle (UDW)
Rasa includes 14 expertly curated presets to get you started on the powerful sound sculpting possibilities of the dedicated VST/AU MNDALA engine.
Rasa (Sanskrit: रस) translates to "essence” or “taste." For Mntra, this refers to the aesthetic flavors crafted into our sample maps, ready to be experienced by you, our sahṛdaya, literally one who "has a heart" and can connect to the work with emotion.
In this spirit, we created Rasa as an introductory gateway into the vast creative possibilities that our expressive Sound Sculpture Instruments have within them.
For Rasa, we chose one distinct instrument sample map from each of our four existing Sound Sculpture Instruments. We selected Orakle’s large Tibetan horn, sampled using the custom-built giant reverb resonator that lends this horn its colossal and brutalist sound. From Arca, we chose the Mongolian Morin khuur, performed in such a way that its unique harmonics are accentuated. Then, we went to Atma for its rare Pitched Volcanic Rocks, and finally, we included UDW’s 'Viper' Death Whistle.
Rasa includes 14 expertly curated presets to get you started on the powerful sculpting possibilities of our MNDALA engine.
